CLEF is an innovative public-private partnership focused on scaling investments to systemically improve access to quality education in Côte d’Ivoire. Scaling education is an essential tool to promote children’s rights and combat child labour. The partnership brings together the Government of Côte d’Ivoire, the cocoa and chocolate industry, and philanthropic organizations.

  • CLEF

    CLEF operates under the purview of a joint governance with participation from the Government of Côte d’Ivoire, philanthropic organizations, and the cocoa and chocolate industry. A Steering Committee and a Technical Committee constitute the Supervisory Bodies. A Grant Agent acts as interface between the private partners and the Government, assuming fiduciary and programmatic tasks, as well as communication and resource mobilization. CLEF activities are implemented by Government entities and implementing partners, supported by a Project Management Unit.
